I have been incessantly reloading fivethirtyeight.com and realclearpolitics.com to see the news polls that have been posted. I’m trying to reduce my anxiety as we head into the final 6 days of the presidential election.
I haven’t actually voted yet. Rochelle and I are going to fill out our ballots tomorrow and drop them off at a polling place. I have to do some more research on some of the propositions to make up my mind.

- LACC Board of Trustees – Seat 1 – Andra Hoffman (why? incumbent)
- LACC Board of Trustees – Seat 3 – David Vela (why? incumbent)
- LACC Board of Trustees – Seat 5 – Scott Vonkin (why? incumbent)
- LACC Board of Trustees – Seat 7 – Mike Fong (why? icumbent)
- State Senator – 27th District – Henry Stern (Democrat)
- State Assembly – 45th District – Jesse Gabriel (Democrat)
- US Representative – 30th District – Brad Sherman (Democrat)
- LAUSD – Measure RR – No ($360/year increase in property taxes)
County
- District Attorney – George Gascon (why? endorsements and reform needed)
- Judge – No 72 – Steve Morgan (why? endorsements)
- Judge – No 80 – David Berger (why? endorsements, jewish, good name)
- Judge – No 162 – Scott Andrew Yang (why? don’t know, liked his website better)
- County Measure J – Yes (why? LA Times endorsement and need for addressing racism)
State
- Proposition 14 (Stem Cell Research) – Yes (why? CA should lead if the feds can’t)
- Proposition 15 (Property Tax) – ??? (why? this is a tough one. Prop 13 needs to be changed, but not sure this is the right way)
- Proposition 16 (Repeal Prop 209) – Yes (why? I never liked prop 209)
- Proposition 17 (Voting Rights Restoration) – Yes (why? vote, vote, vote!)
- Proposition 18 (17 year old primary voting) – Yes (why? vote, vote, vote!)
- Proposition 19 (Property Tax Transfers) – No (why? more harm than good)
- Proposition 20 (Criminal Sentencing) – No (why? endorsements)
- Proposition 21 (Rent Control) – No (why? not a fan of rent control. Prop 15?)
- Proposition 22 (Uber/Lyft) – No (why? proposition as a labor dispute)
- Proposition 23 (Dialysis Clinic) – No (why? proposition as a labor dispute)
- Proposition 24 (Consumer Personal Information) – No (why? ugh, proposition)
- Proposition 25 (Cash Bail) – Yes (why? I don’t like cash bail)
National
- President/Vice President – Joe Biden/Kamala Harris (why? NOT TRUMP)
